It was a freelance project for a client with the objective of uplifting regional artists and providing them with rewards. My primary aim was to create a dynamic and user-friendly mobile application that serves as a thriving platform for emerging talents. I also brainstormed and added innovative ideas to improve the app's functionality and user experience.

About client

Client loves local music and the amazing artists who might not get the recognition they deserve. They want to create an app that shines a spotlight on these talented regional musicians, celebrates their diverse music, and rewards them for their outstanding skills.

Client's requirement

A music application:
-To enhance the user experience.
-Supports local artists by motivating and rewarding their efforts.
-Ticket Bookings for live shows.
-Introducing additional features for users.
-Given project completion time is one month.

Process

Due to the project's short timeframe, I initiated the process by conducting comprehensive market research on music applications and creating detailed user personas. This strategic approach allowed us to gain valuable insights and tailor the app to meet specific user needs within the project's limited duration.

Research

To gain deeper insights, I commenced by exploring existing music apps in the market. Subsequently, I gathered valuable data through a combination of surveys and interviews.

Market Research

I handpicked a selection of music apps and conducted an in-depth analysis to understand why these particular apps are favored by users. This comprehensive study aimed to uncover the key factors that attract and retain users on these platforms.

Survey

Surveys allowed me to gather quantitative data by reaching a broader user base, enabling me to identify general trends and preferences.

Interviews

Interviews offer qualitative insights, providing an opportunity for in-depth discussions with users to uncover the reasons behind their choices and preferences.

Survey and Interviews Insight

Following a series of interviews and surveys, I gathered a comprehensive dataset encompassing user frustrations and their expressed interests in potential new features for the music app.

Brainstorm & Ideation

Following thorough primary and secondary research, I delved into the creative process, generating initial concepts. These ideas were openly shared with my mentor and colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment for feedback and refinement.

Low-fidelity design

After brainstorming, I embarked on the journey of translating these imaginative ideas into reality. This transition took the form of low fidelity prototypes, where the raw essence of our creative brainstorming sessions came to life.

Design Decision

User preferences and choices regarding low fidelity cards played a pivotal role in shaping design decisions. These selections were driven by several key design considerations, underlining the rationale for opting for a particular design or visual language.

Logo and Brand Identity

The application's name was proposed by the client. Subsequently, I generated several logo design options. After extensive discussions with both the client and the user group, we arrived at a final logo design that encapsulates the essence and purpose of the app.
